Crime shared a number of different connections with Nick and his Bad Seeds. First and foremost is Mick Harvey, who played the dual roll of red right hand man for Nick, and also one of the chief kingpins for C&tCS.
Mick helped form the core of the second act of Crime's existence, pushing the formation of the band by pulling together the original criminal Simon Bonney, Mick's dear friend and Birthday Party compatriot Rowland S. Howard, Rowland's brother Harry Howard and the under appreicated talents of Epic Soundtracks known more for his roll in the Swell Maps.
Mick was the manager both groups and arranged the tour dates for both, allowing him to be in both groups through the end of the '80s. Now Mick is still part of the Bad Seeds and has released a couple of cover albums as part of a solo career.
