Cave Comics

Drawn to drawn art?

As Nick makes charactures out people in his song, comic artists have made characters out Cave. Take a look at these samples of graphic novels and their use of our favorite superhero.

Dirty Plotte

-
This comic features a short sequence with Nick.

LA Weekly

-
Los Angeles-based newspaper comic strip gives their spin on Nick's Boatman's Call.

Manga Surprise

-
This anthology has a very nice story about two 13-year-old girls sneaking into one of Nick's shows. Great rendition of Nick.

Beavis &
Butthead

-
Oh god, no. Not them. Anyone but them!

Michelle told us to:

Check out the One Trick Rip Off which has a Cave-esque character, very very similiar features and the author freely attributes inspiration to Nick. It ain't bad and the guy does a great job of making the guy look/seem like Nick.

Other comics with Nick Cave connections that I have no information for include:

  • As-Fix-e-8 (Nick actually worked on this one.)
  • One Act Plays by Mike Mathews (published by Last Gasp)
  • Doghead and The Biologice Show by Al Columbia
