Form and Function. In all of art design, development these two 'F' words are considered rivals, even enemies. In so many designs this is how they are constucted: with adversarial intent. We should all scream, 'Why?!?' Good design brings form and function together is a symbiotic whole. Beautiful curves make for easily grasped handles. Perfectly angled squares establish a pattern for smooth workflow. When even a small amount of thought is put into a design a remarkable integration of beauty and utility can come about. How will this be used? What does this design assume about the audience? What does this design require of the audience? Can the amount of work required be reduced? Can this design better serve a supporting position, coming to the front only when necessary? `These questions are asked first. Then the synthesis can begin.`
